About Michelle
Certified Bowen & Niromathe Therapist
C.B.H.T, C.N.T, C.H.T.
I’ve been a dedicated practitioner of manual therapies since 2003. I am always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice and believe that continued learning allows me to provide the best treatment options for my clients. After my own health challenges and lack of progress using western medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic and more, I found Bowen. I was motivated to learn and apply this modality that provided me profound and lasting results. I became passionate about sharing it with others to help them to better understand their bodies and discover the gentle power of healing.
As a well established Bowen Therapist, I aim to connect, build a relationship of trust and create a treatment plan that is specific to each client I serve. I am reminded daily of the amazing healing powers of Bowen, as I witness each individual response to personalized treatment. Connect today to Realign your spine, Restore your balance, and Revitalize your health.
Why Bowen?
What is Bowen?
Bowen is a non-invasive manual therapy that is gentle and safe for all ages including newborns and the elderly. It is one of the fastest and most effective modalities in treating structural, visceral and psychological ailments.
How does it work?
A "Bowen move" applies slight pressure to muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, fascia, viscera and lymphatic systems. The cross fiber challenge stimulates the autonomic nervous system which controls 80% of the bodies' functions. The key to Bowen Therapy is integrating a pause or moment of silence for the impulse created to be perceived and assimilated by the body. The pause time is essential for proper feedback through the mind-body connection to shift the nervous system and engage the parasympathetic "relax and heal" mode rather than the continuous "fight or flight" mode that daily stress creates.

Small sensors allow access to the brain via the therapists' touch. It also directly influences muscle action. These points may have a memory and emotional attachment.
